Symmetrio is recruiting for a Senior Vice President of Software Technology for our client, a multi-national medical device hardware and software provider. This is a leadership position on the executive team of the North and South Americas Region of a global organization. Responsibilities will include accountability for the P&L, strategic leadership, sales, product management and customer success. As the Senior Vice President of Software Technology, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction and success of the software technology business unit. This position encompasses P&L responsibility, leadership in software development, and driving revenue and market growth within a SaaS platform environment. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering exceptional customer success in the context of integrated software solutions and hardware products within the healthcare sector. The company operates as a matrix organization, where you will be working cross-functionally within the region and globally. This position will require both domestic and international travel of at least 50%.
Requirements
Strategic Leadership:
Define and execute the strategic vision for the software technology business unit in alignment with the overall company objectives.
Drive innovation and differentiation through software solutions that enhance our position in the oncology medical device market.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement, staying abreast of industry trends, and incorporating emerging technologies into the software development roadmap.
P&L Responsibility:
Assume full accountability for the financial performance of the software technology business unit.
Develop and execute financial strategies to ensure revenue growth, profitability, and operational efficiency.
Conduct regular financial analyses to identify opportunities for cost optimization and revenue maximization.
Revenue and Market Growth:
Identify market trends and opportunities, leading efforts to expand the company’s market share in the oncology space.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement go-to-market strategies that drive revenue growth.
Establish and nurture strategic partnerships with key stakeholders to enhance market penetration and revenue streams.
Software Development Leadership:
Lead a high-performing software development team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
Oversee the end-to-end software development lifecycle, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality solutions.
Implement agile methodologies and best practices to optimize development processes and enhance product delivery efficiency.
Customer Success:
Champion a customer-centric approach, ensuring the delivery of software solutions that meet and exceed customer expectations.
Establish and maintain strong customer relationships, gathering feedback to inform continuous improvement initiatives.
Collaborate with the customer support team to address and resolve customer issues promptly, ensuring a positive customer experience.
SaaS Platform Management:
Manage the integrated SaaS platform, overseeing the development, deployment, and maintenance of software solutions.
Ensure seamless integration with different hardware products, optimizing overall system performance.
Implement robust security measures and compliance standards to safeguard customer data and maintain the integrity of the SaaS platform.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science or a related field. MBA preferred.
Minimum 10 years’ experience in a senior leadership role within a SaaS environment, preferably in the Healthcare, MedTech or Medical Device industry.
Demonstrated success in driving revenue growth and achieving P&L targets.
Strong background in software development and a deep understanding of technology trends in the healthcare sector, primarily SaaS platforms.
Experienced leading and developing high-performing cross-functional teams.
Exceptional strategic thinking and decision-making skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and nurture relationships at all levels.
